The manager of the Springfield Avenue Quick Check reported to police on Aug. 31 that two black males, one armed, took cash from the store register at 2:34 a.m., according to reports.
No one was injured during the robbery, and there were no other customers in the store at the time of the incident, police said. It wasn't reported how much money was taken.
According to the report, the manager called 9-1-1 to report that two males entered the store; one subject brandished a handgun and demanded that the manager empty the cash register. The manager told police the armed male escorted him behind the counter to remove the money from the register, and that the other male was acting as a “lookout.”
Both males fled the scene in a small silver or gray car that was parked on Boyden Avenue, police said.
The subject with the handgun is described to be 20 years old, 5 feet 7 inches tall, 170 lbs., wearing a black baseball hat with a “B” on the front, white T-shirt and blue jeans. He also has long dreadlocks down to his chest. The other male is described to be the same age, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, 160 lbs., wearing a red Cleveland Indians hat, a yellow shirt, blue jeans with a silver belt, and has short dreadlocks.
