An employee of St. Joe's Church in Maplewood was robbed the morning of March 14 in her office and needed to be hospitalized, police said.
The victim, a 62-year-old woman, had left her office in the church rectory and returned around 10:19 a.m. to see a man going through her purse, police Lt. Dean Naddeo said March 14.

Two separate robberies in Maplewood last week allegedly involved the same group of teens, police said.

Two robbers clad in ski masks and one donning a handgun stole cell phones and more from local teenagers last week, police said.

Two juveniles, a 15-year-old and 13-year-old, both of Maplewood, were arrested May 26 and charged with robbery and aggravated assault after they stole a bike and struck the owner, police said.

Police are looking for three males who robbed a Maplewood teen at gunpoint last week.
A 15-year-old boy was walking in the area of Boyden Avenue and Gifford Court at about 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 when he was approached by three males on foot.

Maplewood police continue to look for the suspect who robbed an 18-year-old woman at gunpoint on Parker Avenue on July 8 around 2 a.m., authorities said July 16.
Police said the suspect was a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and wearing a dark-colored mask. He drew a black handgun on the woman, who was not injured.
Taking her cigarettes, he was last seen running west on Parker Avenue, police said.
