An employee of St. Joe's Church in Maplewood was robbed the morning of March 14 in her office and needed to be hospitalized, police said.

Two separate robberies in Maplewood last week allegedly involved the same group of teens, police said.

 

A 45-year-old Maplewood man was approached by a group of about three to four young adult males as he was walking on Berkeley Street on Aug. 10 at 12:20 a.m.

Two robbers clad in ski masks and one donning a handgun stole cell phones and more from local teenagers last week, police said. 

Two teenagers, one male and one female, were approached by three black males on Franklin Place, near North Terrace, on July 22 at 12:30 a.m. Two of the three suspects were wearing ski masks and one of the suspects produced a silver handgun as they approached the victims.

Two juveniles, a 15-year-old and 13-year-old, both of Maplewood, were arrested May 26 and charged with robbery and aggravated assault after they stole a bike and struck the owner, police said.

Police are looking for three males who robbed a Maplewood teen at gunpoint last week.

A 15-year-old boy was walking in the area of Boyden Avenue and Gifford Court at about 8:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 when he was approached by three males on foot. 

Police said one of the men showed a handgun and requested money from the victim, who then turned over his Blackberry cell phone. Police said the teen told the men that he didn't have any money, but two of the suspects began to search his pockets…

A 60-year-old Maplewood man was hospitalized after being pistol-whipped during an armed robbery in the area of Parker and Union avenues on Oct. 31, police said.

The victim, suffering a laceration to his head and face, was approached around 8:20 p.m. by three black males in their teens, police said. One teen held the gun on the man, while a second suspect went through the victim’s pockets, police said.

Maplewood police continue to look for the suspect who robbed an 18-year-old woman at gunpoint on Parker Avenue on July 8 around 2 a.m., authorities said July 16.

Police said the suspect was a black male, 5 feet 7 inches tall with a thin build and wearing a dark-colored mask. He drew a black handgun on the woman, who was not injured.

Taking her cigarettes, he was last seen running west on Parker Avenue, police said.
