Maplewood officials begin budget talks Saturday

Decision expected on charter school proposed for Maplewood

Small number of participants may eliminate lottery in chicken-raising program
Jan. 18 was the last day for residents to apply for the backyard-chicken pilot program that the township is testing.
Officials have limited the program to 15 households, with the selection done by lottery. About 15 people attended separate workshops the township held Jan. 7 and 11 to learn about the program.
