Calling All South Orange /Maplewood Artists:
Living or working in either town

The 7th Annual South Orange/Maplewood Artists Studio Tour is scheduled for June 6, 2010. Registration is now open for all visual artists in any genre, medium, fine or craft, who live or work in either town. Sponsored by the Pierro Gallery for South Orange and 1978 Maplewood Arts Center with a team of volunteers, this one day event last year attracted over 700 visitors to tour artist’s studios and venues.

The studio tour provides artists the opportunity to open their studios, offering visitors an insiders view of their working space and focus on their art. It is an opportunity to engage with visitors, discussing their work and/or making their own sales. Artists who do not have an accessible studio may choose to exhibit their art work at one of the local art or commercial venues organized by the Studio Tour committee.
The registration fee for artists is $40, to support marketing costs. Commercial sponsorships provide greater support for broader marketing opportunities through banners, posters, and an extensive ad campaign.

Participants and interested artists are encouraged to attend an orientation meeting on Wednesday, March 24 at Gallery 1978 (1978 Springfield Ave in Maplewood).
