1978 ARTS CAFÉ : an art gallery and meeting place for performers

The 1978 ARTS CAFÉ is an opportunity for musicians, poets, orators, comedians, writers, and others to practice their craft and present their art. Come to perform or just to enjoy the talent and the company. 1978 Arts Café is a family friendly venue for artists.

1978 Open Mic Night invites all to share their talents whether it is reading poetry, playing music or singing. Participants will have 10 to 15 minutes to perform for a live audience to try out new material and to build their following.

ARTS CAFÉ is held at 1978 Maplewood Arts Center located at 1978 Springfield Avenue in Maplewood. Sign up to perform at 7:45. To assure a time slot, we suggest you sign up on line 1978artscenter@gmail.com. Show begins at 8:00. This event is open to the public from 8:00pm to 10:00pm. 1978 is a BYOB facility.
